It’s not to late to get hitched en masse or renew your wedding vows on Valentine’s Day.
Palm Beach County Clerk & Comptroller Sharon R. Bock will marry 40 couples at the National Croquet Center.
As of Monday, only 16 couples had registered for the ceremony at 11:30 a.m. Friday Feb. 14. Couples can register at mypalmbeachclerk.com/valentine. Registration will continue until all 40 spaces are filled.
The ceremony is free, but couples are required to have a valid marriage license. You can apply for and pay for a marriage license in advance. The license is valid for 60 days, but there’s a three-day waiting period for Florida residents. None for non-residents.
If you’re still not sure you want to do this, here’s the YouTube video from last year’s ceremony.
Since 2011, the Croquet Center has donated the use of the facility for the ceremony and enlisted local businesses to volunteer their services. The center is at 700 Florida Mango Road in West Palm Beach.
“It’s my privilege to officiate this beautiful ceremony as 40 devoted couples pledge their love and hearts to each other on the most romantic day of the year,” Bock said in a statement.
