Resort’s Beach Club debuts new décor, restaurants

Marisol

Boca Resort & Club has dressed up the Beach Club and added two restaurants.

“As part of the iconic property’s $150 million renovation, the Resort partnered with Colin Cowie, credited with creating the gold standard in event planning, working with clients including Nicole Kidman, Jennifer Aniston, Elton John, Oprah and Ryan Seacrest, to reimagine and further elevate the Beach Club guest experience,” said the club’s general manager Christophe Baraton.

“This includes two new dining concepts…Marisol restaurant and Beach Club lobby lounge, each with their own distinct vibe and culinary offerings,” he added. “Situated outside and steps away from the sand, Marisol is a dining destination inspired by Colin’s love for La Dolce Vita and iconic beach clubs set along the Mediterranean.”

Guests first entering the Beach Club “are welcomed into an airy and light-filled lobby with panoramic ocean views. The ocean-chic vibe is carried through to the lobby lounge, in natural colors with gold accents and subtle navy blue touches,” described the announcement.

The lounge covers 2,500 square feet and features indoor and outdoor seating areas, each synced with a time of day. “Playlists evolve from Brazilian Bossa Nova in the morning to retro classics and live DJs in the evening. The experiences transitions from barista-made lattes and continental breakfast to light lunches to a candle-lit lounge and terrace in the evening serving Mediterranean-inspired Mezze plates and sushi, all made for sharing.”

“We thought through every detail beginning the moment a guest steps out of a car and curated every touch point, from the menus and décor, to the couture uniforms and the custom scent infused throughout the space,” Cowie is quoted as saying.

As the founder of Thrive Hospitality, he worked with the Resort’s executive chef Andrew Roenbeck to develop the menus. The new service is inspired by the French gueridon tableside trolley and a rotating selection of dishes, such as seafood towers and a late-night pairing of dark chocolate and red wine, in addition to small plates created by the Resort’s executive pastry chef Sebastien Feneyrol.

Cowie also collaborated with food and beverage director Kevin Ives to develop a wine and new signature cocktail list inspired by his international travels.

The outdoor Marisol restaurant is designed as a waterfront setting for lunch with friends or a romantic dinner. The menu offers fresh seafood, including local Pompano served with Persian cucumber, minted herb salad, freekah tabbouleh and lemon salmoriglio. The restaurant offers an extensive wine list, featuring more than 25 wines by the glass.

“The New Golden Era at the Boca Resort begins with Colin’s vision for the Boca Beach Club,” Baraton said in the announcement.
