If your wish list is full of designer duds, shoes and bags you can only afford in your dreams, you’re in luck. A New York deep discounter has popped up next to Kendra Scott in Mizner Park through Feb. 21.
Offering new inventory weekly, this week EFG has racks and tables of Brunello Cucinelli merchandise for men and women from 75 to 80 percent off.
How do they do that? “We have established relationships with leading design houses, allowing us to provide our customers with the most iconic names in fashion at highly discounted pricing,” explained the company’s Hillel Simon. “Previously, we wholesaled to all the luxury off-price powerhouses, such as Century21 and Neiman Marcus Last Call. Our pop-up shops allow us to go directly to the consumer at even better prices.”
Shoppers will find signs on specific reductions and original tags on the merchandise. For instance, women’s dresses are marked 80% off: Retail $580 and up, EFG $145 and up.
This is a no-frills shop where customers are free to look through boots, shoes, dresses, slacks, bags, scarves, tops, sweaters, and men’s vests and suits, ties and sweaters, and more.
Racks are organized according to size and Simon recommends trying on, since they have a no returns policy. There’s an “all sales are final” sign at the register.
A wall chart next to four dressing rooms converts European sizes to U.S., if you’re not already familiar.
Exclusive Fashion Group is mobile, so it’s really a pop-up business, Simon said. They’ve done this kind of retailing in New York City and Long Island, and Simon was happy to find so many New Yorkers here.
And like Manhattan, shoppers will find a doorman at EFG. This one will take your temperature check and offer a pump of hand sanitizer.
Hours are 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday; 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. They’re closed Saturday.
