New social media app with a voice

The latest buzz in social media is the Clubhouse app. Clubhouse is a new type of social network based on voice—where people around the world come together to talk, listen and learn from each other in real-time. This exclusive social media platform is invite only from an existing user.

I was lucky enough to have a friend invite me over and see what the buzz is all about.

It was a super simple set up that only took about 5 minutes. You can connect your Instagram and Twitter, which is great to further connect with others. Upload your contact list from your phone to stay in touch with people you already know.

Initially, I was very confused on the app’ but it’s simpler than it looks. After I followed a bunch of my current contacts, I saw some audio chats pop up. Think of it as a Zoom audio with no video in a seminar format.

For me, having a bunch of entrepreneurs, marketing professionals and publicists in my database, I instantly saw people connecting on topics in my field.

The one downfall I did notice is that the webinars are not recorded for future listening. You have to catch it in the moment.

I believe this is the new wave of social media and a great outlet for people to get their voice out all around the world.

If you’re a business professional and of access to this social media platform, I would highly suggest hopping on and taking a listen to what others are doing.

Stay Unfiltered,

Antonio  Postorino
