This week I had a deep discussion with a friend about how she thinks she’s a failure. She was unsure where she was supposed to be in life and compared that to her peer’s success.
My tip today is not to be stuck on what others are doing. Yes, it’s hard; we all do it.
But stay focused on you and your goals. The energy you put into worrying about what others are doing can be spent on working on yourself.
Some great ways to stay focused are to write down short- and long-term goals. Dissect how you can accomplish them, what you need to do and how that can build your overall dream.
Don’t be afraid to take risks and make mistakes. They’re only learning lessons for the future. I know things can be discouraging if you don’t see an instant result, but you will over time. Don’t put deadlines on things.
I’m a huge believer in what success means to one person doesn’t mean the exact same thing to another. And what you see on social media isn’t always what’s behind closed doors.
Go out there and be the best possible YOU that you can be.
