My Secret to Success

Welcome to Business Tip Tuesday. I’m so excited to bring you behind the scenes of my crazy life as a celebrity publicist and branding expert. For those of you who don’t know me, my name is Antonio Postorino. I’m the CEO and founder of Unfiltered PR, a boutique public relations and social media agency based in Boca Raton.

For my first article, I wanted to get straight to the point and answer my #1 question. What’s my secret to success?

For me, networking is how I built up a Rolodex of contacts that some only can wish for. Networking is key for everyone, whether you work a 9-5 or run a Fortune 500 company. You never know who you’ll meet and how you can help each other out.

Some of my networking tips are:

Social Media: 100% hands down it’s the fastest and most convenient way to network. LinkedIn has also become my go-to site to meet like-minded professionals from all across the globe.

Events: Unfortunately, due to COVID-19, events are few and far between. But business networking or even charity events are a great way to meet local people in your community that you may never have met before.

Say YES: The most random connections can come when you least expect it. Whether it’s going into a boutique or a night on the town with friends. Chat it up with strangers. Ask them what they do, or even better yet,  ask how you can help them. People feel more comfortable with you ask ‘how can I help you?’ rather than you asking for their help.

Exchange information: Don’t feel funny to ask for an email address or phone number if you’d like to continue the conversation. Additionally, social media is great to see what someone is doing without talking all the time. It’s essentially a personal press release to your target audience.

Stay tuned for next week because there is so much more coming soon.
