Making medicine better in Boca

“Our hospital is great because of their support,” Boca Raton Regional Hospital Foundation president Mark Larkin said about the four new board of trustee members.
• Samy Dwek, founder and CEO of White Knight Consulting and Family Office Doctor. “Samy has been involved with us for the last several years, from donations to serving on committees.”
Originally from the United Kingdom, Dwek moved with his family to Boca Raton from Geneva, Switzerland in 2013. He and his wife Ilana named an emergency room after both their parents.
• Anne Jacobson, “a longtime community leader and immediate past chair of the Jewish Federation of South Palm Beach County. She and her husband Norman are longtime advocates.”
• Dr. Gail Rubin-Kwal, emergency physician in the hospital’s Wold Family Center for Emergency Medicine. “She is also active in the Jewish Federation,” on the board of Federation CCRC Development.
• Rob Sands, “a newer community leader involved in health care in Rochester, N.Y.”
• Joan Wargo and Lyn Jurik are directors emeritus.
• Stanley Barry remains the chairman.
The foundation supports the $250 million Keeping the Promise capital campaign that includes a new patient tower and other buildings on the medical campus; technology, research, the purchase of equipment and more. “We’re supporting our healthcare workers, too, and the future of the new hospital,” Larkin said.
