Greeting Neighbors,
Summertime is upon us!
This is usually our slowest time of the year here in South Florida, however things are still very busy around town. Lots of seasonal residents are staying longer and we have frequent visitors.
I’m sure you have seen road construction is still underway to prepare for the influx of people moving to our area.
We have been fortunate to have had a beautiful spring weather season. Graduations have commenced and the school year is coming to an end. Many children will start summer camps this month.
This season is the time for enjoying some more free time and for travel, although we do live where a lot of people vacation.
Events are coming to a virtual end and we look forward to more live events this fall.
Wishing all the dads out there a very happy Father’s Day on June 20, which is also the official first day of summer.
Hurricane season begins June 1 and goes through Nov. 30. Always a good idea to check your supplies each year to stay prepared. If you are traveling for a great length of time, secure your home. The sales tax holiday for certain items runs through June 6.
I am loving the artistic additions to our beautiful city. If you haven’t been already, you can visit Sanborn Square to see the “Shades of Culture” display. This 8 by 20-foot pair of sunglasses is a great photo spot! The Boca Raton-inspired mural at SeaSpray Inlet Grill is also a must see. Opening this summer, this waterfront restaurant at the Waterstone Resort & Marina will offer Boca’s only dock and dine service. They will start accepting reservations on Open Table June 7.
Also, the Boca Museum of Art is always a great place to visit. The museum is offering free admission on Father’s Day, June 20.
I hope you will all continue to enjoy our outdoor dining venues, your community’s beaches, parks, and don’t forget to support local.
