Boca Lago’s new owners have opened country club membership to the public.
Now known as Boca Lago Golf & Country Club, individuals, family and corporate memberships will no longer require a home purchase, the club announced.
“Becoming a privately owned golf and country club that is now 100% non-equity makes Boca Lago Golf & Country Club available to a broader audience who want a private club experience without the excessive five- and six-digit initiation fee commitments required at other area private and resort clubs,” said John Stampfl, managing director of membership & golf operations.
A seasonal social membership initiation fee is $750 and months dues are $520, for example. A seasonal golf membership initiation fee is $1,500 and monthly dues are $875. Among membership categories are season or full social membership; seasonal or full golf; executive junior golf and an upgrade for tennis access.
The 225-acre club in the west Boca suburbs just completed a $11 million renovation project. That included redeveloping all 27 holes on three, nine-hole courses and expanding the practice facility. There’s a pro shop and teaching pros.
The clubhouse, indoor and outdoor dining and pool complex were extensively upgraded. The country club also includes a fitness center with personal trainers and classes. There are 20 Har-Tru tennis courts and a tennis academy, locker room with saunas. And membership also includes tournaments, social events and entertainment.
Prospective members can call the club to arrange for a tour. Boca Lago Golf & Country Club is at 8665 Juego Way. Go to https://www.bocalago.com/membership or contact the membership office at 561-869-8880.
